I attended my first meeting with my local astro society (has) last night which was a presentation on astro imaging from one of the has members Gordon Haynes the only thing I can say about it was WOW Gordons presentaton was very inspiring as has totally confirmed my decision that this is something I want to do his images were spectacular. I can't wait to get my first scope (1st week in Jan) and get started observing and then later imaging (ofc I'll have much more modest expectations). I will be joining has shortly and just wanted to say thank you to Gordon for the presentation and Paul at has for inviting my father and I along as guests we both thought it was a fantastic event sadly we had to shoot off quickly and didn't have time to chat but hopefully next time :-)

Yep - Gordon is a bit of an expert when it comes to imaging - it was his photos that I first saw at Kelling that got me interested in the dark arts.
