'First' image!!

Actually taken on the same night as the M51 piccy. Can't remember exactly how many sub but approx 10 x 20 sec subs. Lack a lot of detail but I would need more exposure time for that.

Superb effort. There's a tremendous amount in there from a very short over all exposure time. What equipment were you using. Have had a go at pulling a bit more out.

Ok, OK so I've still a great deal to learn about processing (level and curves). Like the improvment though

As to kit

Startravel120 (second hand) with skywatcher autofocuser (This bit was new cheers flo)

Motorised eq3-2 (also second hand)

HX526 CCD (also second hand)

Have you spotted the theme here.

Struggled to get any longer subs due to poor tracking or polar alignment.

Had to reject over half of the subs taken

Just in the process of buying a second hand EQ6 Pro (for £650) so hopefully will be able to track better. Currently considering what scope I should perhaps get.
