Just for a laugh...the Blinking Planetary

I was playing about the other night waiting for my mate to turn up. Just buzzing the scope about to see how accurate the GoTo was. I was using my 'Focusing plan' in APT and viewing the preview on the lappy. So unmodded Canon 1000D 30sec at ISO1600 as a small jpg whatever that is???

I punched in the numbers for the Blinking planetary (NGC6826) and took a few images while sweeping about with the cursor keys because it is one of my favourite objects to observe (In a 10" Dob with a 7mm EP!). Anyway, I couldn't see it on the screen so gave up.

Cleaning out the camera card this evening and I spotted a little blue dot near the bottom edge of the fame. I checked the others and found 6 exposures with the neb on. I chucked them into DSS as a 2x drizzle, no darks, no flats. A very quick poke about with Photoshop and here we are.

It's a bit little for a DSLR isn't it?
