RJ45 Extension Cable for Synscan

Hi,

I have Synscan on my EQ5 mount. I find that the spiral cable on the hand control is too short and I want to extend it.

Would a standard RJ45 male to RJ45 female extension be ok to use.

With a standard patch cable to extend the handset so I do not see why an RJ45 extension should not work.

Hi,

It is a 2 Mtr cable, I am still using the coiled cable as this has the filters on. I fitted the connector to the end of this then the new cable into the handset.
