Focuser on Skywatcher 200

Hi all

I sold my newt on ebay and the buyer is very happy with it, he has come back with this question though regarding the focuser

"I've only got one query, about the focuser. Although it was described as 2/ 1/4 inch, the hole is about 1cm too big to take a 2 inch eyepiece. Have you used a 2 inch eyepiece in it? Have I missed something?"

Now I never used a 2" ep with this scope so Im not quite sure what he is going on about, any ideas ? Would be nice to get back to him and sort him out

i had a skywatcher 200mm DOB sometime back. i used a 2" moonfish eyepiece with no other adapters other than taking out the 1 1/4 bit. orion

I took the camera attachment out to do some measurements for Steve. Can this go in the wrong way, seem to remember it being bevelled. Would this be throwing him out ?

Yes chub, the bevel is to be honest a right pain in the rear, but removing it allows the space for the 2 inch.

There should be two bits that fit into the focuser. One adapts it to suit 1.25" EPs, the other is for 2" EPs. With neither in the hole is too big for 2" stuff.

if you get stuck chub let me know as I have the old focuser I used here and no doubt the 2 inch block is with it. Just going out will be back in 2 hours.

So in this pic obviously the one on the left should be left out for 2" ep then I believe the middle one is the cam adaptor? So for 2" eps does he need to have the left and middle items out ?
