Sundays Solar Selection - 16th October

I didn't think when I got up I would be doing any solar observing today, as the weather forecast had 2 cold fronts passing through, however as the first one did the clouds broke up behind it and out came the sun!

I was quick to get out and get setup...

Another great solar day, loads going on disk wise, the proms are a bit quiet atm, but there was a nice surge prominence...

I decided to pop on the 2.5x powermate for a closer view of the limb features: I soooo wish I had more aperture these shots hint at the detail that is just calling for the greater resolution larger aperture offers. Still, keep on saving the pennies...
