Thanks for the warm welcome all - the forum looks to be a very friendly and helpful place.

Brantuk - I went for the Skywatcher 150P. It was a toss up between this and a slightly larger Dob but transport swung it. Looking around SGL helped though - seems to be quite a popular first purchase!

Nosivad - Oakwood is nice but the Dordogne sounds like a reasonable upgrade! I'm in Alvaston myself.
