caravaning this weekend :O)

Taking my caravan and scope (and the wife) to a nice dark camp site this weekend and lve just seen the weather for friday saturday and sunday ... for once I hope they get it right

So what should i look for this weekend ... I will try and improve my immages of Jupiter But what deep space targets would be good ?

Or is the moon going to spoil my chances

Hi

I think you had it right about the Moon unfortunately.

Best to spend some time with that and maybe some open clusters and double stars, they normally stand up to a bright Moon OK.

There is always big Jupe, Neptune, and Uranus these are all observable when the moon is bright too.
