I came across this a couple of months ago, and thought it very useful.

Called "NightSky" by the Sky and Telescope publishers, it is produced bi-monthly and Nov/Dec is out at the moment.

It contains sky charts, as you would expect, but as well as giving the usual white map view with labels, it also gives a dark map with no labels so you can compare the two.

It seems to be geared towards the new-comers but I think there are some useful things in it.

If I get a chance later, I'll scan some pages up so you can see - and at £2.95 its a bargain!
