First effort..

This is my first effort at the sun with my home made Baarder film.

It is a bit out of focus but ran out of time.

I managed to get 7 pictures after finishing making it yesterday afternoon before the clouds came over.

Not spectacular but pleased to finally have the filter sorted..

It is taken with a Canon 1000d on a Sigma 150-500 zoom.

One shot at 1/500th f.10 iso 100.

Coloured up in photoshop..

Hoping for some more sunshine today to get my first visual with the frac...

Ahhhh

The wait was worth it!

The results of the Baader film and the telelens worked out very nice.

You can see some surface plage around the sunspot which is about to disappear.....
