I was viewing Jupiter at about 5:30 this morning using binoculars when all the moons were spaced apart to the west of the planet but I notice that the event you mentioned happened about 23:45 the night before when Ganymede was almost vertically above Callisto.

thats what i seen, sky was very cloudy couldnt realy see jupiter with the naked eye it was that bad, but could make it out with the scope at 250x. never seen that before
