Jupiters Moons

Hi All,

Had a little insomnia (over excited at moving house I reckon!) so wandered into my new garden this morning at 3am and aimed my 15 x 70 Binos at Jupiter and got a nice view of some Moons.

Hopefully I'll be able to get my scope out and have a proper peek soon!

Reminds me of my early observing days ~30yrs ago (I was about 12). My Dad's 8x40 binos rested on the metal arm of the rotary washing line for stability :shock: Could just make out Jupiters moons - eyesight was obviously pretty sharp in those days!!!

I've been stuck in a god awful astronomy location for the last 4 years mate - 3 Street lights have marred the view, so the new location has got me on the edge with excitement. Happy days indeed - cant wait to get my scope out!
