Wonderful activity at the moment.

On the technical side I've worked out a way of joining proms to the disk less visibly than before but I still need to get Registax to do a better stack over the whole disk. At present I'm only getting one bit sharp. Any good tutorials out there that you know of?

have you checked out the solar imaging tutorial on the Registax webpage.

A good starting point.

BTW I think there's a lot more detail in your image than you show...a bit more with say the #4 or #5 wavelets might help.

An excellent image, looks more like a one shot so your bending is brilliant.

For a more even stack either have a go with Avistack or in Registax, try the multi alignment point. Try and pick a smallish box size for alignment and pick 3 or 4 places across the disc. However I tend to avoid areas close to the disc edge. Quite often this will give a more even focus similar to using Avistack.
