Finally, a clear night - Eastern Veil

Parallax

Recommended Posts

After a depressing August, finally we get a clear night.

The guiding didn't want to play ball to start with, but I eventually got it to calibrate although the guiding graph was a bit strange/erratic. Probably due to the target being near the zenith?

It's only my 3rd go with the 314L+. What a cracking camera!

The only calibration was bias subtraction.

12 x 420s Ha (Red) and 11 x 420s OIII (Blue). Synthetic Green made from Ha+OIII (50%).

C80ED at ~f4.5, Atik 314L+ @-10 deg C

Guiding with ST80, Atik 16ic-s

Captured and guided with Maxim, processed in PS CS
