polar scope collamation

after my camping trip i tried taking some subs with the dslr in the garden i polar aligned how i normally do so but kept getting trails i had an idea of what the issue was from reading about polar alignment. so the morning after i set up and point the polar scope at a point at the wall and turned it in RA and i was right the polar scope was out!it was rotaing like an egg! must have been from the long journey in the van so i got my allen keys and had to fiddle about till it rotated on the spot in the center of the x hairs.

i guess what im trying to do it make people aware mainly newbies like myself that theres may also be out.

also i would like any experianced members to comment wether this is important to make sure it rotates in circle.
