What should I get to go with it?

I am going to be purchasing my first scope in a few days, the Zhumell Z8 (8" Apature, f/5 Focal Ratio)

It comes with a "1.25 Inch Format 9mm Eyepiece" and a "2-Inch Format 30mm Eyepiece"

If you were in my position, what would be the first accessories you would want to purchase along with this scope and why?

Then you will have an excellent guide to get you on some cracking objects to observe with your new scope.

What does it have by way of a finder? A good reflex sight like the Telrad is great if the mount is not a GoTo. Finding things is tricky so the book above is a good start and so is an atlas of the sky, though you can use the free Stellariium software to print maps.

My vote for a Red Dot Finder. Especially on a dob, used my finder scope only to zoom in after finding the target with the RDF.

Baaders Sky Surfer V is particulary nice.

Telrad for me too AND a right angled finder make for the best combination.
