LP Filter map newbie question

Recommended Posts

I don't think there is such a thing. I've never seen a map broken down by pollution wavelength. In addition, it may be very dependent on local pollution and the maps are quite low resolution.

Finally, and most importantly, the different filter types aren't optimised for pollution type but for DSO emission lines. The whole idea is that, say, the band-pass filters block everything but certain lines (OIII or Hbeta). You choose your filters according to what you want to observe. There is no provision for choosing filters by pollution type and this probably wouldn't be efficient in any case.
