imaging with a SW 150pl?

I am hoping to link my nikon d40 up to my 150pl, does anyone know if there is sufficient inwards travel ?

on the skywatcher rack and pinion they just slot straight in but its a bit of a art to get good focus people will disagree but if you do not want to spend time with that upgrade to a craforord or some thing with more better focus rack and pinion did not hold the water for me but as i said other people will say dif am sure
