AR 1260-1263 in whie light

First chance to image the Sun since July 14th.

Decided to have a go in white light first but a haze came in before I got a chance with the Lunt60.

This is a mosaic of 5 panes with a Baader diy white light filter on an ETX125. Images gathered with a DMK31 B&W camera.

Couldn't get Registax6 to do anything so I ended up using Reg5 and stacked the best 40 frames.

Cropped and stiched together in Photoshop.

I also got the tiny AR near the centre but couldn't get it to blend in with the other panes.

Really chuffed with the detail of the structures within the penumbra of AR 1260.

Great detail! I too have trouble with Registax 6 and the sun - I can't get it to align and all I end up with is a smudge.

I was so pleased to get the images to stitch together in Photoshop that I forgot to get it in the right orientation.

The image is upside down.
