Setting the time on a synscan handset

The handset on my NEQ6 Pro asks me for the date, time and daylight savings. Am I correct in thinking that since it is asking for the DST offset that it must want the time in "local" time, rather than GMT?

Put in your time where you are, (24 hour clock) it will ask later on if its daylight saving or not, time zone for the UK is the choice 1st shown ie 0000, dont forget to use the american style for date ie mm/dd/yyyy

Local time UK is 0000, GMT longitude = 0, no offset as UK is relatively small timewise. Local time USA say 6 hours @ 15 ..... degrees/hour plus any offset from that as they are a little bigger than we. Something like that.
