Guide scope recommendations

I have a SPC900 modded for exposure on the way,

I also mistakenly bought a Mead DSI II (ssshhhh don't tell the wife )

Need recomendations as to what I should be looking at for a guide scope. Which should I be imaging with and which should I be guiding with (I think the SPC will be more sensitive).

Will be modding my dual drive to accept ST4 inputs for guiding.

My signature looks similar to yours.

I guide with the SPC900, image with the DSI.

ST80 or finderguider as a guide scope.

Neither camera is ST4 output enabled though.

Was viewing Jupiter this morning and had problems getting pin-point focus.

Is this just me being ham-fisted? or should I be looking to collumate? (Have not checked this since purchase)

Is there a way of fine tuning the focus (not a problem seeing it is out of focus using Bahtinov, just quite coarse adjustment on the focusing on the scope.)

Would obviously like to get everything just *so* for when my cam(s) arrive.
