Where and how to park it?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I've just fitted a motor drive to my mount and now I'm wondering where to 'sit' the handset controller when I'm not using it? I don't want it dangling on the floor.......the only thing I can think of is some heavy duty velcro and attach it to one of the tripod legs, but I'm assuming there must be a far better solution?

The controller isn't very heavy, a 3" stripe of Velcro on the back of the box and a matching one on the tripod leg works wonderfully, and is easy to use in the dark. Velcro is also almost fool proof. I've had controllers fall out of clips and such more times than I can count.

Another vote for velcro, but I wouldn't use the really heavy duty stuff as you want to be able to detach it fairly easily. Use the hook bit of the velcro on the handset and the fluffy side on the tripod - that way you won't scag your clothes on it when carrying the tripod :)
