Quick Question

I have a celestron 76 and I haven't had much chance to use it since getting it at christmas (damn weather/work), but my question is:

My scope has a small finder mounted to the top that has a red dot on as well, but limited use has meant that I'm very unfamiliar with how to look at something think, I'll have a closer look, and swing around and alas perfectly in view.

I actually have posted in that about the scope and not checked it recently. I have had it lined up once or twice but sruggled to properly focus (only lined as I was pointing straight at the moon) but thanks a lot Chemtom.

no problem. a 3rd marker at the end of the scope is pretty much essential with that type of red dot finder. simpel to do tho

So if I'm seeing it properly then the 3rd marker is at the opposite end of the ep.

3rd marker is at the end of the telescope, behind the main mirror.

so yes at the opposite end.
