hmmm interesting article - That's all very well, but we have only been measuring the activity of the sun over the last few hundred years..the sun has been around an awfully long time. Who knows if this dip in activity happens every few million years?

The results of the new studies were announced today (June 14) at the annual meeting of the solar physics division of the American Astronomical Society, which is being held this week at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces.
