How to piggyback a camera with a lens?

I have a DSI III Pro, filter drawer and M42x1 lens, like so:

It doesn't have a 1/4" photo tripod thread so it can't be piggybacked on a scope. The question is how to add one or piggyback it in another way? If there were tripod thread plates I could glue one to the camera.

I filed a flat on the body and then used epoxy to attach a 1/4" BSW (or 1/4"-20 UNC) nut...

AE did made them, but now they are totally gone. And I don't know if there is a size difference between DSI 1/2 vs 3.
