Hello everybody,

As I'm selling all my guiding kit to concentrate only with lunar and planetary imaging, plus visual observing with the scope . I'm looking for a good camera to do the job. I'll be using my C9.25 to do the imaging, so I'll be upgrading the focuser to a Feather Touch upgrade or a Baader Steeltrack focuser for a SCT, what are the pros and cons of each unit? Regarding buying a camera, I've been looking at one of these two models,

1. DMK21AU04. AS mono.

2. DMK21AU04. AS colour without an I/R blocking filter, I've already got one of these.

Is the mono camera much more sensitive than the colour unit?

If I buy the mono one which filters and wheel would I have to buy? Is It a lot more difficult imaging and processing with the mono compared to the colour camera? Is I worth the extra cost and work to go for the mono camera?

Thank you all.

The Feathertouch 10:1 works well for me.

The DBK21 colour is probably the way to go unless you want to get REALLY serious about planetary imaging...a hellva lot easier than fafing around with filters.
