Wedge Installation Help

Just wondering if anyone could guide me in the right direction ?

My current set up is a 12" LX200 ACF on a Pier in Alt/AZ . After reading about and seeing some of the fantastic images posted on this forum i'm going to give imaging a twirl and have ordered a AE Mega Wedge Pro.

My Pier is situated dead centre of the obs and with the shutter fully open i have clear sight of the zenith.

The question is ,would i need to move the pier a touch to the south or will the orientation of the wedge place the OTA in the same if not very similar location.

I use a 12" on a wedge - the axis will be displaced towards the north. I can measure if you need accuracy.

OK

Not as bad as I thought.

The dec axis moves towards the north by 3"

The new height of the Dec axis above the top of the pier/ tripod is 28"

This may be an illusion in the posted photo but the pier seems to be bolted to a wooden floor. Is this so? If so this would have serious issues for imaging.

Hi Olly , the covering is vinyl , covering a concrete floor that was poured as purpose base aprox 2 cubic mtr. Rob
