New Pier build Pt 2

So having made the mount adaptor HERE I finally got round to making the rest!

A friend happened to have a length of 160mm tube and also about 3ton of ballast for the concrete!

So enough ballast dropped by the house and I went and got some cement.

Now the hole. Easy really or so I thought. I think I came across a Saxon town as there was enough hard rock to build one!

Many hours later and much sweating I finished.

Pics below. Now to let it set (mount was only on for photo) and then wait for clear sky. Although it is clear here now I'm too tired to set up and must fall in bed.

Looking good How big was your hole? Surely you didn't use 3 ton of concrete?!

No not 3 ton. Felt like it though! 3ft square by 2ft deep.
