Superzoom / Bridge / Fixed Lens Cameras

Hi Guys,

I'm just starting out in Astronomy with a view to getting into planetary / DSO imaging.

I was wondering if any of you have used superzoom cameras with any success?

I have a Fujifilm Finepix HS20EXR I was hoping to be able to use as it has a 58mm thread and I can get a T Adaptor for it, but with the fixed lens I get the feeling I might hit problems, not least with the weight on the threads of the adaptor.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Cheers.
