Peter Reader
Hi all,Just a quick attempt at capturing M13 last night. If anyone could tell me how to avoid burning out the centre of the object that would be great. And a colour invert Thanks!
fatwoul
In a single shot, simply dropping the exposure time will help with the burn-out. The pink at the top is probably heat plumes from the sensor (D80s are a bit prone to that, same as D70s and D100s used to be) but that might be fixed with a few dark frames (same length exposure, under similar temperature conditions, but with the telescope cap or camera body cap fitted). Peter Reader
So maybe a load of 30s exposures instead of 60s and some darks. Thanks!
