Having just purchased a Canon 1000d this weekend, im keen to learn exactly what else i need to image dso's.

Will my ST120 be suitable ?

I know my eq3-2 mount isnt up to imaging with it, so what would the best economy motor driven mount be to get me started ?

Finally, is there a laymans 'how to' guide of how to image ?

Thanks

Al

Mount Mount Mount, get the best you can afford and if you can't save up for one even secondhand, ideally an EQ6 as this will be "future proof" minimum - HEQ5 otherwise you may well be wasting your money.

Steves book is a must for the beginner IMO, you will easily save more than £20 by helping you in not making purchasing mistakes.
