I wonder when an eruption becomes large ?

When it's bigger than your head.

Shame it can't clear the skies of planes again to give us some lovely sunny days and clear nights. The only downside would be all the whingers on the news complaining that their flights have been delayed!

I've just come back from Iceland - we'd hoped to have had a look at Eyafjallajokull, but the weather was a bit too bad. Apparently, Hekla (The next volcano along) has historically gone off a year after Eya, and when it does, it goes off big time. So we were on a bit of tenterhooks while we were there.

Bet it's impressive to see though.
