Would HitecAstro EQDIR adapter work with Supatrak

Does anyone know if the HitecAstro EQDIR adapter would work with the Supatrak mount.

HitechAstro only make EQDIR adapters for the HEQ5 and EQ6 mounts which come in SynTrek (non-GOTO) and SynScan (GOTO) versions.

So, if you have a HEQ5 or EQ6, yes.

EDIT: Is this for the mount in your signature?

My signature mount is covered by using the handset PC control setting which works fine for me, but I was thinking of getting a Supatrak Skymax 127 and hoped to use the HEQ5 synscan handset with it to make it Goto. It appears it may need to be flashed and I was therefore hoping that I would be able to attach the Supatrak mount to the PC direct instead.

You can't use EQDIR with that Alt-Az mount.

But you can flash your handset to Alt-Az firmware easily and then you'll have a SynScan Alt-Az mount, and get an EQDIR for your HEQ5 for about £25.

You can still computer control the Alt-Az, but you'll have to go through the handset.
