Canes Venatici; town tour.

Using the deep sky tour in this month's Sky at Night mag and "Illustrated Guide to Astronomical Wonders", had a good clear view last night.

With a 10" Dob searched for and found;

M51,M106,M63,M94 and M3. Then ngcs 4631,465,4244,4214,4111,4490,4449,5005 and 5033. I had a good look at each and tried upping the magnification from 21mm.In all cases they showed different shapes/size and extent.

At 11pm Canes V was high enough in the sky to be clear. Not bad for a light polluted town site with 7 lamposts around!

Ended up having a look at M13 and M92 in Hercules.

I try and make an area of dsos , say in one constellation and put these on a Telrad chart.
