My understanding is that all you need to do is use your laptop, PDA, I phone etc to give you the real time Azi & Dec coordinates of a particular object in the sky and then you adjust your setting circles to suit. In theory the mount should then be calibrated to true north. You will then be able to find your next object with a combination of your finder and medium power EP. Here are some links that may help http://stargazerslounge.com/diy-astronomer/80995-diy-dob-setting-circles.html http://stargazerslounge.com/diy-astronomer/118838-dobs-direction-finder.html#post1576268

I have the gemred / wixey combination but I found most objects are easy enough to find under dark skies and not yet had the need to use them so I cannot confirm if my method would work ??
