Can you figure out how this was done?

Trying to work out how some of these sequences were done, I suspect many were done in post-processing but not sure.

What do you mean 'done'?

It's a canon dslr with some nice lenses and a tracking rig. Have you seen the other thread in the lounge with this video and all his other amazing ones in their original place?

I have seen time-lapse before but noticed that in this case some of the shots involved camera movement also, quite a task to keep moving the camera during time lapse without causing it to go all jerky, will look into 'tracking rig'.

I've done some work in this area and you use a very precise rail system with smooth motors. Think of it like an EQ6 mount but linear rather than radial. As expensive too

Of course you don't move the camera during the shot. Move 1mm, wait for camera to settle, take shot, move camera etc. Can be fully automated.
