I'm sure I'll be asking a lot of questions but I am looking to see it working!

Just recently bought and received my EQ6 but haven't set it up yet.

I'm in central Florida, the heat and humidity is brutal probably 300 days a year. Its not like it will get wet if I set it up in the observatory, but I worry about all the humidity. 

What are your thoughts on protecting it? This will be my only mount and it has to out last me!

I'm still shooting single images with my Canon. Most I get are substandard compared to the exceptional astrophotographers here on the SGL.

But I do this for my own pleasure and I enjoy every image I take. 

Seeing better images here just inspires me to keep trying!

Does that mean Sol is acting up for the alert to be Red and  the Aurora visible in almost all of the UK?

I would have loved to gone to the Cape to watch it, but just couldnt work it out.

I'm not really going to say civilian or even normal people, but to only train for 6 months and not have a professional astronaut along is another step into history!

My baby was finally delivered!

Between time saving the funds and the two months waiting while it was back ordered, I feel like an elephant father. Close to 2 years!

All I'm going to say is I am as nervous as an expectation father. Got the email "your order has shipped" and my checking account depleted!
