Capturing, about 2 new moon’s processing hard to tell, ones figured out to go about a day, but a week going back and forth as combining such a large set is not trivial.

Olly did a terrific job in combining this data set, I took a different approach to this 32 mega panel madness. To be perfect I need to revisit about half of the panels ... now I need to find the courage to do so.

Thanks! It's at Olly's place, that's why a OSC camera works, dark skies make a OSC perform almost equal to a mono.

You just need to stop pixel peeping, it's a full frame sensor with a reducer, the slightest focus drift or tilt will introduce this. I know it's your hobby, it was mine too some years ago 😉, I moved on.

I've been reading diagonally this thread, so I'm confused now 😄
I'm on the verge of reducing my Tec 140 with the AP reducer to F5, I have a 3.7 micron camera ... or do I keep it at the native focal length ... The camera is sensitive and backlit OSC CMOS. Reduced it is 1.1 arcsec native 0.78 ...

That's a beauty Yves. I like the bright look and the colours of the browns are excellent.
Thanks, I hesitated to make it more dark and maybe I should up the contrast a bit, but by keeping it light it shows depth ...

A totally stunning image you have created there. Would you tell me in brief how you join frames as a mosaic, I would like to try say the NA Neb but can't fit it into my FOV at 800mm.

One word: APP, best software to do mosaics, in this case I stacked all the FSQ frames in one stack! the GSO RC needed to be stacked in 4 different panels, the result of the panels was then stacked again in APP.
Just follow the instructions of Sara W.:

Blood, Sweat and Teers.
4 Panel Mosaic in the FSQ 106 + RD 645 + 128C QHY
+ 4 panel Mosaic for squid GSO RC + ASI 183 astrodon 5nm OIII
The exposure details are:
134 x 5 min in total for the 4 panels of the FSQ wide field
312 x 5 min in total for the 4 panels of the GSO RC Narrow field

My Biggest mosaic to date in pure RGB which is kind of challenging, Ha this is easy, RGB madness to even try.
16 panel Mosaic, FSQ 106/RD 645/QHY 128/Mesu 200. 15x5min per panel

Was not happy with the "magenta" cast ...

I struggled with this one, L is much to strong ... part of the solution was to take more Red subs, this camera is more sensitive in blue so I could not get the balance to make sense, but even then it was still difficult to process.

Even if it works, I would return it (if no HW fix is offered), today you image with a FSQ 106, tomorrow maybe a Tec, that is a complete different scale ...
And these issues become only worse not better, so in 6 month's from know the play could be so bad that even FSQ territory is a no go.
So either they have a HW fix/retrofit or they accept returns.

These formula's will help you to calculate how accurate one needs to be aligned ...

Of this camera there is no mono version, there is a backlit full frame the QHY600 that has a mono version, but frankly I do not see the need, knowing you have all 3 colors in one go with rich deep reds (I use the Idas D1 filter) is so relaxing. And you can do Ha/OIII in one go with those new Dual band filters .... it’s not as good as a mono camera, but the difference is negligible in my option ...
