Gone are the days of the local ironmongers unfortunately, where you could buy nails by the pound, in eco friendly paper bags!
Cheers
Rob
Thankfully not up 'ere I'm lucky to have a huge one just down the road, "Geo.Spence Bros."
then I've got "Pudsey Nut& Bolt" and "WDS" just a stones throw away, Lord know what I'd do without them

Sorry about this, but I had to laugh as it was amusing.
Buzz Aldrin revealed he had a pee whilst decending the ladder to the surface. He paused at the bottom to do so.
I never knew that until I saw the Documentery last night. He was determined to do a first at something then. Of course he did not contaminate the lunar environment. :laughing2:
Ron.
I have to admit that had me chuckling too, first time I'd learned about it-certainly don't recall him telling Andrew Chaikin that. He actually appeared quite gracious toward Neil and freely admitted his boring nature at parties-went up in my estimation. The guy was a genius though ( still is !)
Al Bean was a laugh too !

It is becoming more clear why so few are using reducers with Newtonians. Perhaps a before/after test of a coma corrector with a large CCD or DSLR would be more useful?
I've heard/read great things about the Baader MPCC.
here is a pic taken in daylight (obviously) using the WO 0.8x F/R with the Cape 200mm F6(down to F4.8 at prime focus and one can clearly see the coma that has been talked about. Fair, this was taken with a DSLR ,but for demo purposes one can see why, had I used a w/cam the image would not have suffered quite so much due to the smaller chip. The brick wall is approx' 100ft away(9" bricks-just in case someone wants to work out the FOV)
I don't know if this has helped ,or, like the captain said buy an ED 80
Forgive me but what do guys mean by...
Alternatively, screwing the existing 1.25" adapter in from the other side of the T-thread adapter works just as well and allows slightly more in-focus.

Just out of interest, I had mentioned to KK my plan to see what effects/results from trying the WO 0.8x R/F on my f6 200mm Cape, which ought to bring it close to an f4.8 ?

Perhaps the answer would be to look at it from another angle ,ie an adjustable viewing platform that can be maneuvered around the pillar ?
