It really depends on your current situation. As you may know, I don't use my dob a lot and I consider selling it. With that being said, It's still a great scope for the price, and if you live somewhere with the opportunity to observe in your own garden or something and you have the time to use it, then it's a great choice. I you don't have a lot of time, I think you'll end up using your mak the most.
