Good to know - there are quite a few people in the Chester/Cheshire area it seems. There is another astronomer in Neston that I bought a nice 9 mm eyepiece from recently (via UK astro buy and sell).

The University of Central Lancashire has a Planewave 700 (i.e. a 700 mm diameter mirror , 27.5 inches) but not seen many images from it.

Only just joined this forum, as I generally use Cloudy Nights. Been into astrophotography from around 2001 or so (when I was using an Orion Optics 8" Europa reflector on EQ3 mount to do lunar and planetary imaging using a Philips Vesta webcam). Moved up to a HEQ5 mount, and was doing longer exposure imaging with a SAC-7 camera, then in 2009 got a Losmandy G11 492 push to system and moved onto an ATIK camera (ATIK 16-ic). The Losmandy mount has now been upgraded to Gemini-2, and is working very well in combination with an ASI AIR Pro. Currently using a WO 81 GT IV and Starwave 110 ED-R refractors with a ZWO 071 MC Pro camera. I do have a 12" Orion Optics DX300 but am trying to sell it as it is too large.
