  1. It'll probably be a Canon Rebel T3i (600D), a ZWO ASI 120mm Mini for the autoguider camera, a shop-made (probably) 60mm f/4 guide scope, and SharpCap for polar aligning. Is this enough that you feel satisfied? If not, what else would you like to know?
  2. EQ5 (soon to be motorised and GOTO'd) and a 150 PDS. I know I should've gotten the HEQ5, but I couldn't find a HEQ5 dealer in Japan. I'll save up for the EQ6-R, though.
  3. I'm not really sure about Astrophotography with a dobsonian, but I s'pose it should be doable. I'd recommend something like a Sky Watcher AZ-GTi and a simple Maksutov (and a focal reducer) if you're not really going to get into Astrophotography. Not sure tho. If you WILL get into Astrophotography, the best option imo is probably a William Optics Zenithstar 61 (with flattener) on a Sky Watcher HEQ5.
  4. Welp, looks like everyone IS right! Every no I receive, it's pushed back by a yes! Welp, I'll just take Anthonyexmouth's advice and just get SharpCap pro. Thanks everyone either way! Clear skies, Leon.
  5. Okay, I'll try to make this as short as possible. Info: I have a EQ5 mount (soon to become motorised and GOTO'd) and, after reading countless astrophotographers praise the QHY PoleMaster, I thought it'd be a good idea to follow in their footsteps and buy myself a PoleMaster. I saw nothing about the PoleMaster supporting the EQ5, so I thought I'd ask whether or not the PoleMaster would make my life easier by supporting the EQ5. Clear skies, Leon.
  6. What a quick reply! Thanks, Domstar! Clear skies to you, L.R.

    Hi

Many welcomes to you, Anvil Basher! I hope your stay in SGL is one that is filled with countless strides in your chosen path! Clear skies, L.R. P.S. Just for you, dear reader, I'll tell you what L.R. means– it means Leon Rafael!
  8. Warm welcome to you, KernowBeard! From the deepest point in my heart, I truly hope your path in Astrophotography leads you to successful results such as fantastic pictures of DSOs! P.S. love your way of writing, mate! Bloody excellent, I say!
  9. Alright, please forgive any mistakes all hiding around, for I'm but a mere beginner in this, well, community! Now, as the title implied, I decided to say hello! The name's LR Watanabe if you've forgotten my name and are too lazy to look back. What I hope to achieve in this wonderful community is to greet younglings and older, coming-back "Astronomers" to this wonderful community, and make strides to improving the happiness these beginners (such as myself) feel as they're supported lovingly by this community! Clear skies, L.R. Watanabe. P.S. Please don't criticise me for my excessive wordiness, its sunk into me like a hot metal rod through 10 inches of snow!
