An excellent first image, Very well done. 👍🏻
Perhaps a bit less sharpening but that is being a bit critical though. Keep up the good work.
Thank you, any advice is welcome and greatly appreciated.

Very nice shot... very well exposed. Way better than m first ever lunar image! Have you tried the camera attached directly to the scope without reducer or EP? Would be interesting to see how that compares.
Thank you, I was thinking of trying to attach directly for the same reasons. I’ll have a look/research for a suitable adaptor

When having a drive round oz a few years back I went from Cloncurry to Noosaville in 22hours of solid driving in 1978 Hiace camper van. Well apart from 1/2 lunch and a several fuel stops. Something like 1800km. The experience has stayed with me as it doesn’t bother me driving from North Wales to Essex and back in a day just for a cup of tea and a catch up with my mates.

Not quite extensive enough to make me want to drive out away from the town yet though.
I will be walking up the hill on the left of the picture next time for hopefully unopposed views.

Oh excellent, first real clear night last night for many a week and was surprised how light it was even after the moon had set. it’s a shame I only have my phone as a camera and not a dslr. Worth staying up for thou.
Thanks

Only two subs totalling 18mins. X1 10min @ iso200 & x1 8mins iso 400 before the clouds came again. Layered and blended in PS. Just experimenting as it was my first attempt. Doubt I’ll get another chance during the new moon phase.
Thanks for looking
