  1. I thought i would share my results learning astrophotography, i've been using two achromatic telescopes. First telescope is skywatcher startravel 120/600 F5, and the second is orion deluxe 100mm f6, both used with the same ovl field flattener from Flo. Used a unmodified canon eos 1000d for this, and the Mount is EQ5 Pro. It has been edited for me by a friend in pixinsight, since i don't have the skills my self. For the coming season, i have bought a skywatcher evostar 80ed with the flattener /reduser, and hopping my results will improve greatly. First 2 pictures is from the startravel 120, the rest is from the Orion scope M42 and M51
  2. Hi, does anyone use darks and flats when stacking comets in Dss. Thanks.
  3. Forgot to mention that iwas using a canon 1000d on these, and a cls filter from svbony on the M42
  4. I would recomend this one from Flo been using it with my startravel 120/600 for imaging. https://www.firstlightoptics.com/skywatcher-focusers/dual-speed-2-crayford-focuser-for-sky-watcher-refractors.html Took these with this setup. only had the blown up version stored on my phone. A friend of mine edited my stackings in pixinsight
  5. You could buy an Skywatcher AZ4 to , they're using the same tripod as EQ5 and you will have a grab and go head for the lighter tripod ,They're cheap and good value for the Money. Just a thought , unless you haven't already bought that is 🙂 ..
  6. I,m not able to add Pictures for now,we'll se tomorrow.
  7. Here`s a couple of pics from a newbie , i`m using a skywatcher startravel 120/600 and a Canon EOS 1000D. Feddback is very appritiated. Thanks Partial moon , not good seeing ,guided. ISO 200 manuel/bulb
  8. I used ISO 100 and 1/4000 shuttertime, but still to much light for me to see any details at all, like it was over exposed. do you have any filter suggestions ?
  9. Hi, been trying to image jupiter with my DSLR (canon 1000D) but the image is to bright for me to see any detail at All (the lines) in the pictures. I'm using a skywatcher startravel 120 so i know i can't get really detailed pictures, but when i do visual with a celestron 8-24 zoom eyepiece, a short barlow and a moon and skyglow filter, i get accepable views. So, the only 2" filters i have is cls and uhc, have anyone tried some of the these?
  10. Thank you vlaiv , it's great to have people like you on forums , always willing to help. Thanks. Yes I did check the Nd3 filter , and it was there, checked it towards a lamp , but it is visual from the top also. Since there were no user manual , I found the ones from other solar wedge brands, but I found it strange that the front end was threaded. Unfortunately there has been a lot of rain here I Norway, but hopefully there will be a chance to test it out on Sunday. By the way , I did buy a variable polarizing filter from FLO which I intend to use? Again, thanks Vlaiv ?
  11. Hi , received my solar wedge today (link above) but i'am wondering were the cpl filter goes ,the front of the wedge is threaded but i read that there should be no filters in front of it. There were no user manual.

  13. Hi , yesterday i had the chance to view the sun through my Clubs Lunt solar Scope, and that was a great experience , but the Equipment is way out of my League. But i have a Aquila 90500 Scope on its way from China , and thinking this might be used as a cheaper Version of a solar Scope. I also found this one , and Wonder if any of you have any experience With it , i'm on a tight Budget so this will fit right in if it's usable ,this will be a way to get me started. I see they have red and green Versions to , to diffrent prices, but what is the diffrence? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Hercules-white-SOLAR-SYSTEMS-1-25/32825535273.html?spm=2114.search0104.3.10.918857813VlT4D&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_2_10065_10068_319_10059_10884_317_10887_10696_321_322_10084_453_10083_454_10103_10618_10307_537_536_10902,searchweb201603_56,ppcSwitch_0&algo_expid=e0ab7c04-ffda-4461-8cf9-aa44eedf49ac-1&algo_pvid=e0ab7c04-ffda-4461-8cf9-aa44eedf49ac&transAbTest=ae803_3 The Scope in this thread : https://www.cloudynights.com/topic/547541-chinese-made-refractor-excellent/ Thanks in advance, GKA
