  1. Hello, I have recently aquired a 20×80 Celestron Skymaster Binoculars and I need reccomendations for a tripod. Thanks!
  2. Hello, I was recently thinking about how since I started out with a telescope I missed the challenge and the "adventure" through astronomy and star gazing. I was recently reading something that said before you buy anything you should learn the constellations and the names and how to find them. I have started doing that, for instance last night I used a method they called "star hopping" to find Little Dipper through "Big Dipper", also known as Ursa Major. Anyways it says to get astronomy binoculars before getting a telescope. While I was looking at binoculars on Celestron (feel free to point me to other manufacturers, Celestron is really the only one I know) I found one that is within my price range (which isn't a lot really ) called the "Cometron 7X50", I heard the 7X50 Is what most people recommend for when first starting out, and I was just wondering if its called the "Cometron" then is it especially made for viewing just that? or is a good starting binocular? Thank you for helping out, I've been reading up on this kind of stuff but I still get confused.
  3. Hello, I was wondering what kind of jobs there are that focus on astronomy. What do you guys do if your job is related to astronomy?
  4. I was wondering when I would know if I need to clean my telescope. And when I do how do I clean it?
  5. I remember seeing something called a "Light Pollution Filter" for sale, and I was just wondering if any of you guys have tried using something like that and if it works

I would just like to take a moment and say how amazing the community is here! Everyone gives awesome answers to anything I have to ask. I love this community!
  7. Hey man, thanks! I will have to do that next time I go out.
  8. When I take my telescope out at night one thing that usually stops me from staying up late is tiredness. I was wondering if anyone had any tips for staying up.
  9. I was wondering if I bought a eyepiece from Orion if it would work on my Celestron telescope? (Not Orion, I was using a company for an example)
  10. I am using a Celestron Inspire 90az, and as far as what type of diagonal I wouldn't know but I can attach a picture
  11. I was wondering what the importance of a diagonal is, and what changes would occur if I were to switch diagonals.
  12. So I got a Celestron Inspire 90az telescope for Christmas last year. I have looked at the moon, Jupiter, and Saturn. Although I think I have a very basic understanding of how to use a telescope, I wanted to know if anyone reccomends any books that teach you how to use a telescope and maintain and upgrade it.

This is my first ever telescope and I am still learning how to use it.
