Clear but poor seeing, tried my 1000dm on the 150PDS for 2 targets before the clouds rolled in at 1am.
First is M90 for my Messier imaging set.
next was NGC 4565
Both 10 x 300s dithered + Bias darks at ISO800
Thanks

I too own a 150PDS, the DSLR is in focus at 1-1.5 cm but I use a 45 mm extension tube to get an eyepiece into focus as has been said above. Good collimation is a must!!
Good luck, it's a cracking scope!!

You could use your Nikon DSLR (with an adapter (see FLO)) and APT software (free) !

I am also looking for a new scope but have ben doing AP for a couple of years now. I'm drawn towards a SW 150 PDS. It's good for visual and for AP with a DSLR.
The price £218 is very competitive for a 150 reflector that you can use for photography and has lots of good feedback on this forum.
Dobs are good for visual only and if you want to move onto AP then you will need to change the scope!
Hope this helps..

I wish you well, I only use my WiFi to control the mount and APT for everything else..

There is no internet involved? Just a Wifi signal?

It's a different app for Windows, check the SW website. I know as it happened to me too!

Not sure, I've had an EQ3 Pro, EQ5 Pro, HEQ5 pro and now NEQ6 pro and I've never done any PEC training but still get good images? Maybe I've just been lucky??

I'm G0IBI, mostly on HF but I have 2m too. I know quite a few hams in the UK have QSO's the ISS but it's not something I have thought about doing. Good luck and let us know how it goes..

My mount stays out on a tripod covered with a scope 'coat' I bought from Green Witch a few years ago. Been soaked, frozen, snow covered and baked and all works perfect every time.

You can alter the upper and lower slewing limits on the app.
Mine just arrived and I had a play, all OK except you have to make your own 'Home' setting??

Using Skywatcher Auto Focuser with APT.
