How did this work out Rob?

And also Amazon says usually available in 3 to 7 months, feels like ordering a car.

@Alan White Alan, if I may, what is the empty filter frame used for? I've seen this before my friend?
If you look at the second image in my post, you will discover my use....
I used it to remount a good filter than had odd threads in my case.

Looking more complete each time I drop by on the thread Michael.
This will be a major upgrade on your first one of course.

I find the SL to be an excellent EP: sharp and flat across the FOV. I honestly have nothing negative to say about it.
I am the same so far, highly pleased with my initial handle and look through session.

How bad is you astigmatism? I have + or - 2, can’t remember, I find I can use 18mm er but 20mm is more comfortable. Good to hear this ep did not need any modifications to see the whole view
My Astigmatism is 1.5 if memory serves me again = or - I have no idea.
No modification, just with the eyecup fully down so far.
Sadly weather has stopped the chance for mor testing.- 1

I like it because it is story related, Its Folklore and that is something handed down by word or story.
If it was scientific, then it would not be Folklore. -
Postie Pete has been and delivered. a little filter based haul 🙂
First up a pair of Baader 2" Empty Filter frames,
oddly cheaper delivered from Telescopes Canada than a UK supplier or Baader themselves.Allowed me to remount the Orion Ultrablock that I was very kindly given, but sadly I could not screw onto my then only 2" EP.
And finally a Japan Made 80A filter, Bargain off eBay 👍

Actually I do, I swap from hovering over the lens to pressing against the eye cup. I just need to practice
Once mastered the eyepieces are very enjoyable to use, the feel wider than they are tagged.

I note your issue with the Morpheus 9, could I safely presume that you do not wear glasses?
I use and adore the 12.5 Morpheus, nut wear glasses, the eye cup is used fully down and no spacer for glasses use.
But if no glasses it needs the spacer and the eyecup to stop the eye being beyond the focus spot produced.
(I probably have the terminology wrong above, others may correct me on this) but this is the difference between being a pain to use and
being a dream in use.

I am overcome with awe at your nerdyness @Nigella Bryant.

OK, not that Nerdy in my case, well according to a single fun quiz anyhow.
I will now go and Obsess on my own and not interact with others to grow my Nerdyness 😉
I would add that it being American biased that many of the terms are meaningless to me.- 5

I love this remake on your fine scope, as Ed said above, smooth movement on a Dobson is a pleasure to use.
Somehow i had it in my head your scope was all wooden, clearly not from the above. Is that sited in a unique looking shed or observatory?

Looks like a lot of hard work has gone on since the initial build,
looking rather smart and very Garden Makeover too.
Sorry about your BMW wall interaction, cars hitting your property is never much fun.
But your rebuild looks up to your usual high standard 👍 -
Have you tried Opticstar as I believe they are the Meade UK agent?
-
I have downloaded it in the UK to my kindle unlimited, I will report back.
Thank you for pointing this out, I love different cultures take on stars and star lore, so look forward to readin.

Setting to go image, no time at all.
I don’t image and I don’t do too much electronics either, simple push to mounts and most electrickery is few heaters.
