Oh dear, Why do things always go wrong. Had a feeling it would be a bad day, decided to do a bit more on the new set up , having done the software on the Laptop , this just left me now to make sure the CCD was working ok and that i could focus, so set it up , only to find , the Sun was to bright ,could not see my Lap top screen , amazing when you dont want the Sun , its there to cause aproblem lol . Anyway i thought i would move it to a shaded spot, bad move that as i tried to lift it with all the weight on , yup you guessed it , tweak!!! the old back went . so then removed the weights ,and carried it to my shaded spot, only to make things worse , now the back was killing me , Then heard aloud crash , the table that the Laptop was on and where i put the weights collapsed, chipping my nice new paint on the weights , lap top was ok , then in anger i swung the scope around only to whack me in the lip . Hobbling about now back aching ,lip throbbing,i eventually managed to get the camera focused, so thats the next step done . Now just need the back to get better before attempting to lift the scope again for its first light. But at least i was rewarded with some clear weather for the nights imaging session from the Dome . So spare a thought for old Rog, who is seriously .selling it all up next year if things dont improve , and turn the clock back to Observation, through a 14 inch SCT lol , !! whispers)) i may do Planets and Lunar only, but we shall see . END!!
