Thought I'd add this taken while piggy backing on the scope, just noticed a satellite trail above the scope, towards the top ?

Just a bit of fun really, took this pic of my Skwatcher 150p on eq3-2 with part of UM visible over the end of the scope. Shone my red torch during a 25 sec exposure. Let's see yours while in use - at night please, looking for some nice star trails maybe. 

Without tracking, here's my fist attempts with about 2-3 sec exposures at prime focus, M13 a month or so ago and Andromeda Galaxy last night. I am getting loads of great advice on how to improve and can't wait to when I get motors.

When wanting to take loads of single exposures of an object, do you simply move the object to the centre of each shot so you can stack them all easily?

Stacking multiple 5 to 10 second frames In dss will give good  results. You might need a couple of hundred frames on faint dsos though.

This was a single shot. Still learning about stacking. 

I can't believe I can contribute to this thread now ?  Here's my effort of M13 taken on 150p on eq3-2 but not guided or tracked at all - does it count?  Canon 1100d at prime focus 6400 ISO 2.5 secs exposure. 

Sorry that this is not up to the standard of many pics on here, but I'm happy with it.

Thought I'd re-invigorate this thread, and why not, cloudy outside and nothing better to do. 

Here's my Skywatcher 150p on eq3-2 and I love it.  Recently got back into all this and my mind is constantly thinking about what I can search for next. (Please note, that is not an Apollo Landing Module).

Not sure if this has been mentioned but I've recently found a load of podcasts from last year about everything to do with space the universe stars planets space flight etc. Search your podcasts for StarStuff, makes the daily drive to work more bearable and full of amazing info.
