  1. Thank you, John. Much appreciated, and thanks for educating me on Sun’s light being white 🙂 I will try to look for Herschel Wedge and Baader film. Best regards Asad
  2. Good morning all, I was wondering if you can please guide me towards observing solar without buying a solar scope. Is Celestron's ECLIPSMART SOLAR FILTER a good option for yellow light or should I go for something else. I have SE 8 and Orion 102. thanks in advance. Asad
  3. Best DP I have ever seen :)

  4. All the members love to help and that makes me love SGL. Considering members have given some really good advices on observing the night sky and on selection and use of equipments, I think it will be worth having a FAQ section to summarise the frequently asked questions. Just a suggestion
  5. Hi Kieran, I don't see a reason why canon 1100 shouldn't work with it. You would need an adopter for the camera to attach it to the scope ( not sure you already have it). You don't need to upgrade the scope to have a better view of Moon, Jupitor, Mars, Staurn and Venus but probably would need a high quality and high power eyepiece. For deepsky object I don't think you can do much with 5 inch (in terms if clarity) cheers! AJ
